After the Swindon, Marlborough and Andover Railway was completed, the Broome Manor area of Swindon simply consisted of two farms,
the crossing keepers lodge and the railway line. The Bath & West Show took place a handfull of times
on the land and after houses were built along Broome Manor Lane in the 1930's, the needs of WWII resulted in a British
Kitchen being built next to the crossing keepers cottage.

The grey line signifies the current route of Broome Manor Lane following a housing development built on the land in
